BCCI gave a big update regarding Mohammed Shami ‘s injury

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the team for the fifth and final Test match against England on Thursday, February 29. Star batsman KL Rahul has been ruled out of the fifth Test due to injury. Jasprit Bumrah will return in the last match against England. Meanwhile, BCCI has given a big update regarding the injury of fast bowler Mohammed Shami.

What did BCCI say?

BCCI said that senior fast bowler Mohammed Shami is recovering well after surgery on February 26. BCCI said about Shami, “He is recovering from surgery and will soon go to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to begin rehabilitation.”

Shami has not played since the ODI World Cup 2023 final :-

Let us tell you that Mohammed Shami has not played for India since the ODI World Cup 2023 final. Shami had performed brilliantly in the World Cup. He took 24 wickets in just seven matches. The right-arm fast bowler played the World Cup tournament with pain killer injections but since then he has not stepped on the cricket field for India.

Mohammed Shami also gave an update regarding his injury:-

It is noteworthy that Mohammed Shami was suffering from heel problem. Shami had shared a post from the hospital on social media on Tuesday, in which he is seen lying on the bed and gave an update about his surgery. While the operation was successful, he wrote that it would take some time for complete recovery and he would soon return to the playing field.
