India Women’s Head Coach: The search is on for the next coach to lead the India women’s cricket team. Former Indian men’s head coach Gary Kirsten is not interested in the job despite being tipped to take up the job. However, now Charlotte Edwards has joined the race to take over from caretaker head coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar.

As per the ESPNcricinfo report, the BCCI sought to appoint Gary Kirsten as the head coach of the Indian women’s team. However, this could not happen due to the Proteas coach being busy with IPL and other league appointments. While the search for a big international name is always on top of the checklist, the BCCI continues its search for a desirable name.
