Decision will be taken after IPL final

BCCI will announce the venue of the ODI World Cup after the final of IPL 2023. According to news agency ANI, the BCCI can announce the venue of the World Cup 2023 anytime after the final match between CSK and Gujarat on Sunday. The BCCI has not yet decided which stadiums in India will be played against the World Cup. However, it has been revealed in the reports that the first and last match of the World Cup will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Will the World Cup Start from October 5?

Looking at some of the past reports, speculations were rife that the World Cup would start from October 5. Along with this, it was also being said that its final match can be played on 19th November. Talking about the venue, the news was coming out that World Cup matches can be played at 12 places in the country. Along with this, it was also being said that the final match would be held in Ahmedabad. At the moment it was all speculation and no final information has been revealed about it. Now the official update is awaited regarding this.

This time the ODI World Cup is being organized completely in India. Earlier in the year 2011, India was co-host with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. But this time the tournament is being organized only in India. A total of 10 teams will participate in this tournament. Out of which 8 teams have been decided and the name of 2 teams will be decided after the qualifiers. Former champion teams like West Indies and Sri Lanka have not been able to qualify directly for this tournament. Both the teams will have to play qualifier round.
