IPL 2024: AB de Villiers is one of the greatest players of all time, but there was a time when his talent was not appreciated that much. This is the reason why now in 2023 he remembered a 13 year old incident related to IPL.

AB de Villiers exposes Delhi Capitals :-

ABD told how he was released from Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) after saying that they would retain him. AB de Villiers, who entertained cricket lovers with his 360-degree style for almost 18 years, retired from all forms of cricket in 2021. He played in IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the last 10 years. The pairing of him and Virat Kohli was quite famous during this period.

ABD told on his YouTube channel:-

AB de Villiers told on his YouTube channel, “When I played in the 2010 season, I was called into the office and was told ‘You will be retained, young AB de Villiers’. I was sitting with David Warner in that meeting. It was a big surprise for me after a week or two when I realized that I had been released. Communication was not good at that time, these days it is different, but that is not a good thing.”
