Beth Mooney suffered jaw surgery after undergoing jaw surgery ahead of the upcoming Women’s Ashes and is facing a quandary to be fit for the ICC ODI World Cup. The batsman suffered a face injury while facing the throwdown on Monday.
The Expressed Condolences To Mooney :-
The Ashes will begin on January 20 with the first T20I in Adelaide. Head coach Matthew Mott expressed condolences to Mooney and described the incident as a ‘rogue delivery’ that knocked the batsman out.

“Beth Mooney was batting unbelievably well and, be that as it may, just a wicked ball came and put her in a tricky position and she tried to get out of the way but hit it on the side of the chin,” They said.
“The good news is that our doctors are positive enough that the way jaw surgery is working these days, the return time is slightly shorter.
“She’s in good spirits… hopefully she gets through that surgery well and we can find out when she can re-enter the group.”
An Insatiably Difficult Character :-

The Women’s World Cup begins on March 4 with Australia opening their campaign against England on the second day of the tournament. Mooney, the top-order T20I batsman, was the highest run-scorer in the Women’s Big Bash League and is a vital cog at the wheel.
Matthew Mott felt that this gives other players the opportunity to raise their hands and grab their opportunity.

“It’s a golden opportunity for some players to raise their hand. There’s strongly no reason why it can’t come from outside the (main) team. (the selectors) will firmly sit down today and just work out what is best for this group.”
