Team India’s star wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was seriously injured in a car accident on 30 December 2022. According to media reports, Pant has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2023 to be held in September and the ODI World Cup 2023 to be played in October-November.
According to the report of Cricbuzz, Pant’s return will take some time. If he is able to return to the field by January, then it will be considered a very fast recovery. Pant is recovering faster than expected but it will take him seven to eight months to get fit.

Rishabh Pant was recently seen walking with the help of crutches in some Delhi Capitals matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. His close friends say that it will take him at least a few weeks to walk without any help.
His life was narrowly saved in the accident. Pant had surgery for his penis, after which he is recovering fast. It may take more time for Pant to do wicketkeeping. In the beginning, he can land on the field as a batsman.
