Ravindra Jadeja suffered a knee injury in the Asia Cup last year. After this he had surgery and this all-rounder had to stay away from the cricket field for about 6 months. Ravindra Jadeja scored 45 runs in the first ODI against Australia in Mumbai and also took 2 wickets for 46 runs and both these wickets were of the batsmen. Ravindra Jadeja bowled 161 overs in 4 Tests against Australia and took a total of 22 wickets at an average of 18.86. In the India-Australia Test series, there were only 2 bowlers who managed to take 10 wickets in the match. Out of which Jadeja was one. Of the 13 left-arm spinners with at least 150 Test wickets, none has a better average than Jadeja (24.40). These figures are too few to tell how effective and match winner he is as a bowler.

Had to Leave the Captaincy in the Middle of IPL
