Chris Gayle set this big record in the ongoing third T20 match against Australia. The third match between the two teams was played at the St. Lucia ground, where the Australian team set a target of 142 runs in front of the West Indies.

Chasing this target, Chris Gayle scored 67 runs in just 38 balls. He also hit four fours and seven huge sixes in his brilliant innings. With his 29th run in his innings, Chris Gayle became the first player to touch the 14,000-run mark in the overall T20 format.

With this stormy inning of Gayle, West Indies won both this match and the T20 series also. The team won the match by 8 wickets and took an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series. Gayle also received the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his brilliant innings.
