On the fifth ball of the fifth over, Chris Gayle hit a big six off the opposition captain Jason Holder. The batsman gave himself space and took the ball into town. The ball went over the screen and shattered the glass.

Chris Gayle, after missing the 2020 edition, has returned to participate in the 2021 edition of the Caribbean Premier League. The southpaw trades hers for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in their match against the Barbados Royals in the second match of Thursday’s doubleheader at Warner Park in St Kitts.

Left-handed Chris Gayle Managed to Show His Class:

However, he could only manage 12 runs in nine balls with the help of a four and a six. Universe Boss eventually dismissed Oshane Thomas, leaving the Patriots for a total of 38 for three in 5.4 overs. However, even during his short stay in the middle, the left-hander Chris Gayle managed to show his class.

Sherfane Rutherford Praised Both the Captains:

In 2020, the basement-dwelling Patriots won the game by a total of 21 runs. And Sherfane Rutherford, who received the Player of the Match award for his total of 53 runs in 43 balls, praised both the captains. Dwayne Bravo also praised Dominic Drakes. He took two important wickets and could only manage 13 runs in his four overs in his spell.

“Not a bad bowling effort. Much better with the new ball. Oshane Thomas was great. Probably 20 runs too much in the end. Bravo and Sherfane batted very well. This comes as no surprise to me (watching Oshane Thomas do well). Two important runouts,” Holder said as we saw what he could do. Powerplay is important. I thought we had a good powerplay.

Two Important Runout Holders Said That Chris Gayle Will Have a Good Future for West Indies:

He said, ‘I was just trying to play on merit with a clear mind. Once we bat deep, we know we can take advantage of it. I would give a lot of credit to Sherfen for the way he batted.

It is the players, it is the ability of the players to perform well. He (Drax) has skills. He has potential. I saw him in the net. We know Chris Gayle will have a good future for West Indies.
