West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard reached the 11,000-run mark in T20Is. And became the second player after teammate Chris Gayle to achieve the feat. He overcame the hurdle during his innings of 41 total for Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2021).

Kieron Pollard Crosses 11k Mark :

It is no surprise that Chris Gayle tops the list of most run-scorers in the T20 format. He has scored a total of 14,108 runs at the international level and in various leagues around the world. Kieron Pollard has now crossed the 11k mark. And the third place is occupied by Pakistan’s 39-year-old cricketer Shoaib Malik.

Kieron Pollard overcame the hurdle with a high score of 104 in 554 T20Is. His average is 31.72. Which is his best in all formats. His strike rate is 152.74. And he is one of the rare batsmen who has hit more sixes (741 sixes, 699 fours) than fours.

Kieron Pollard has Taken 297 Wickets in T20Is at an Economy of 8.20:

Broadly speaking, West Indies do not even have the ball in their hands. Kieron Pollard, a specialist wicket-taker while playing for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL, has taken 297 wickets in T20Is at an economy of 8.20. His stats are almost unmatched in the shortest format, arguably making him the greatest all-rounder in T20Is.

Trinbago Knight Riders Beat St Lucia Kings on the Back of Kieron Pollard’s Scintillating Innings

Batting first, Trinbago were struggling at 68/4 when Pollard joined hands with Tim Seifert. Things were looking bleak as batting was not easy. Initially, Pollard struggled to find the middle of the bat and the team was heading for a sub-par total.

However, he only needed a few boundaries to loosen up which took him on his way. Seifert played a big part in supporting himself before he took off. And both shared a total partnership of 78 runs. Which took the game away from the Kings.

Pollard was the Man of the Match After a Blistering Knock of 41 runs:

The target of 159 runs on a pace and bouncy track was not going to be easy. Apart from Andre Fletcher, none of the batsmen could run. And Lucia Kings eventually lost the game by 27 runs. Pollard was adjudged man of the match for his scintillating knock of 41 runs.
