There are 8 players who are part of IPL.

In the squad announced by the Cricket Board of South Africa for the series against Bangladesh, there are many players from Africa who have to go to play this tournament for their respective franchises in the IPL starting from 26 March. The reason could be a tough fight between the board and the IPL franchise. Although the board has said that the choice between the Test series and the IPL will be left to the players, on which the captain of the African Test team, Dean Elgar has said that this option will show the loyalty of the players. But so far it is not clear where this loyalty of the players will go.

Cricket Board of South Africa selection coordinator Viktor Mpitsang told an advertisement

Viktor Mpitsang, who is also the CSA’s selection coordinator, told ESPN that players who are part of the One Day team and not part of the Test squad can go to play the IPL after the end of their One Day series. Apart from this, Victor also said that in the next few days, we will give more information about the six players who are part of the Test group.
But from the point of Mpitsaang, it seems that those 6 players are Rabada, Ngidi, van der Dussen, Markram, Jensen, and Nortje who are part of the squad for the Test series against Bangladesh but due to their respective injuries, India and Has missed his last two series against New Zealand.

Nortje is Unavailable for Bangladesh Series

Anrich Nortje, the fast bowler for the South Africa team, is unavailable for the ODIs against Bangladesh as he is recovering from a hip injury.

His injury has kept him away from competitive bowling since the T20 World Cup. Apart from this, it is also not clear whether he will be able to recover in time to take part in the IPL or not. On his injury, Victor said that it is going to be very difficult for Nortje that he could hardly play the IPL. At the same time, he also said that he is not bowling more than November.

According to CSA’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Shuaib Manjra, Nortje’s road to recovery has been “disappointing”.

Manjra said that “he is being examined at the moment.” He has been seen by three different orthopedic surgeons. Anrich is struggling to load and do most of the other rehab work. He hasn’t even bowled for more than three months. He is not ready for the Bangladesh series. We don’t know about IPL.
