Cricket Ireland and Lord’s Taverners Ireland: The Lord’s Taverners Ireland was launched in 2006 and incorporated an Irish Company in 2009, obtaining charitable status that year. Their mission is to help young people with additional needs to participate in sports though the funding of specialist equipment for individuals and organisations, funding minibuses for charities supporting young people with additional needs and the disabled cricket programme run by Cricket Leinster.
Their charitable work is the result of a small team of dedicated volunteers with incredible support of over 300 members in Ireland. With no office premises and minimal expenses, almost all funds raised through the charity goes directly to those in need.
Lord’s Taverners Ireland were previously Irish Cricket charity partner :-
To date, Lord’s Taverners Ireland have funded 22 minibuses for improving access and accessibility of young people with additional needs and supported 25 individuals and clubs with sports wheelchairs and adapted sports bikes.
