At the same time, it is believed that Rahane will play in the Test series on the West Indies tour. The batsman will fly to London after the two-Test series against the West Indies.

Ajinkya Rahane was running out of the team for a long time

After the two-Test series against the West Indies, Rahane is set to join Leicestershire for the County Championship and the Royal London Cup.

While Rahane recently completed 5000 runs in Test cricket for India during the World Test Championship final.

Rahane was dropped from the Indian Test team after the tour of South Africa last year. But at the moment this batsman is running in very good form.

The agency quoted a BCCI source as saying, “Ajinkya, after the two Tests in the West Indies (which are due to end on July 24), will fly straight to England and join Leicestershire for the rest of the season.

He will play the Royal London Cup in August and a possible four county matches in September as he is unlikely to be part of the white-ball scheme of things.”
