Ajit Agarkar Can Become The New Chairman Of The Selection Committee

New BCCI Selection Committee: Former India fast bowler Ajit Agarkar can become the new chairman of the selection committee. BCCI may soon make Agarkar the new chairman of the selection committee.

Because the BCCI sacked the entire selection committee on Friday. Agarkar (Ajit Agarkar Records) is currently the assistant coach of Delhi Capitals in IPL. But to work in BCCI, he will have to leave the coaching job.

A senior BCCI official said, “We have not spoken to Ajit about this today. It is entirely his choice whether he will give up his IPL role and apply for the selectors’ job.

But obviously, he was very close last time and we would be glad to have him. He is a young player who has a lot of experience playing in all three formats apart from IPL.

His inputs and experiences will be invaluable. He has also worked with young players and he understands the domestic structure.

Agarkar’s first choice of BCCI:-

Ajit has experience playing all three formats. Apart from Tests and ODIs, he has also represented the country in 4 T20 Internationals.

Has also played in IPL and is currently associated with the coaching staff of Delhi Capitals. In such a situation, his experience and input can be important in team selection.

He also shares a good rapport with Ajit Agarkar’s young players and has worked with them in the IPL. He understands them. There is a good understanding of the domestic structure.

The BCCI has not given any clear information regarding the sacking of the current selection committee, but it is believed that Team India’s poor performance in two consecutive T20 World Cups could be the reason for this.
