Amol Majumdar will be the new head coach of the Indian women’s cricket team. The Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI, has appointed Amol Majumdar as the head coach of the Indian women’s cricket team.
Former Player Majumdar’s Cricket career has lasted for 21 years.
The board announced this on Wednesday. Former player Majumdar’s cricket career has lasted for 21 years and now he has been given a new responsibility.

The Cricket Advisory Committee comprising Sulakshana Naik, Ashok Malhotra, and Jatin Paranjape had interviewed three candidates for the post of head coach of Team India.
Which also included Tushar Arothe, John Lewis, and Majumdar. After this, the former captain and coach of Mumbai has been selected for the post of coach of the senior women’s team.
Majumdar Scored More Than 11 Thousand Runs in 171 Matches in His Career:-
Amol Majumdar has scored more than 11 thousand first-class runs in 171 matches in his career spanning 21 years. Meanwhile, he has also scored 30 centuries. he has scored 3286 runs in 113 List A matches.
Amol has won many Ranji Trophy titles while representing Mumbai. Apart from this, he has also played cricket for Assam and Andra Pradesh.
After Being Appointed Coach, Amol Majumdar Said:-
After being appointed as the coach, Amol Majumdar said, “I feel extremely honored and proud to be appointed as the head coach of the Indian women’s cricket team. I thank the CAC and BCCI for trusting me and believing in my approach and roadmap for Team India.”
He said, “This is a big responsibility and I look forward to working closely with the brilliant players and providing them the right preparation and guidance to achieve excellence. The next two years are very important because two World Cups are to be held during this period.”

Majumdar has scored more than 11000 runs in first class including 30 centuries. He has also played 100 List A matches and 14 T-20 matches. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah said that Majmudar has got priority for this post due to his knowledge of modern cricket.
