He is considered as a respected personality. Strauss is said to have strong relations with many current players. He also previously served as England’s director of cricket between 2015 and 2018.
Also Participate in high-performance reviews:-
Strauss was also involving in the recent high-performance review following the 4-0 loss in the 2021-22 Ashes. 17 recommendations were set for English cricket.
However, the review’s two key issues – the lack of County Championship matches and the window for domestic limited-overs cricket – were not passing.
Strauss has opted to move on from the ECB. He will officially step down after the board meeting next month.
Decisions are taken due to increasing commitments outside:-
In a statement, Strauss said: “I have really enjoyed my time at the ECB and I am proud to contribute to the England teams.”
With increasing commitments outside the organization, I have decided to take this step. I wish the new board all the best as it continues in its mission to grow our game.”
