Singh signs deal to play in County Championship:-

Arshdeep Singh County Cricket has signed a deal to play for Kent in the County Championship in the 2023 season.

The left-arm pacer is set to play five matches in June and July as an overseas player for Kent.

Significantly, Arshdeep Singh IPL was not included in the team for the ongoing ODI series against Australia (IND vs AUS).

The third overseas player confirmed by Kent for the upcoming season

Arshdeep is the third overseas player confirmed by Kent for the upcoming season. George Linde will return to play across all formats on a two-year deal, while Kane Richardson has been signed to play the T20 Blast.

“We are delighted to have a player of Arshdeep’s caliber on board for five fixtures this summer,” said Kent’s director of cricket, Paul Downton.

“He has demonstrated that he has world-class skills with the white ball, and I am confident that he will be able to put those skills to good use with the red ball in the County Championship.”

Even though Arshdeep has played only seven first-class matches so far, this player has made a mark by performing well at the international level.

Made a place in the Indian team in IPL:-

Same last year, Arshdeep Singh made a place in the Indian team due to his excellent bowling in IPL.

Arshdeep made his India debut in both T20 Internationals and ODIs last year and has played 29 times for Team India so far. But now he will become the fourth Indian player to represent Kent.

“I am looking forward to playing red-ball cricket in England and will continue to improve my skills in the first-class game,” Arshdeep said.
