Rehan Ahmed is very happy to get a place in the team for the Ashes series. He said that ‘Brendon McCullum called me on Friday morning and told me to join the team.

I never dreamed that I would be a part of the Ashes team at such a young age. That too will get a chance at Lord’s ground. I never thought about this.

Moeen Ali is injured, and Rehan gets a chance:-

18-year-old Rehan has been included in the team as a backup for Moeen Ali. Ali had injured his right thumb during the first bout.

So he had to go out of the ground on the third day of the match. Rehaan has been included in the team after Ali got injured. Rehan Ahmed took 7 wickets in his debut against Pakistan last year.

Made debut at the youngest:-

Rehan Ahmed made his Test debut for England at the age of 18 years and 126 days. With this, he became the youngest player to play for England.

Rehan also represented the England team in last year’s Under-19 World Cup and performed very well.
