Asia Cup 2022 Qualifiers: Schedule of Asia Cup qualifiers revealed
The schedule of Asia Cup 2022 Qualifiers has been revealed. The Asian Cricket Council gave information in this regard on Wednesday. The 4-team tournament is to be held in Oman from August 20. In this, UAE, Hong Kong, Kuwait, and Singapore have been given a chance. The champion team of the qualifiers has got a place in the main round of Asia Cup along with Pakistan and Indian teams. The main round matches are to be held in the UAE from 27 August to 11 September. In this 5 teams have already qualified. Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka have got a place in the second group of the main round, now Qualifiers Schedule.

The qualifiers of the Asia Cup T20 will run from August 20 to August 24. Hong Kong and Singapore will clash on the first day. Each team will get a chance to play 3 matches. Pankaj Khimji, Chairman of Oman Cricket and Vice President of the Asian Cricket Council, said that we are looking forward to being the host of the Qualifiers. We are grateful to the Asian Cricket Council and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board for giving us the opportunity. It is to be known that both the first qualifiers and main round matches were to be held in Sri Lanka. But due to the emergency, the tournament has been shifted from there. Although the organizer is still Sri Lanka.
Asia Cup is being organized in T20 format for the second time. It was organized for the first time in 2016. T20 World Cup is to be held in Australia in October-November this year. That’s why this tournament is important.
