Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan will try the last bet to host the Asia Cup. For the last several months, there has been a tussle between the India and Pakistan (IND vs PAK) cricket boards regarding the hosting of the Asia Cup.

BCCI will have the last chance to refute:-

Now PCB will have the last chance to express their concerns and refute BCCI on the issues of hosting Asia Cup 2023.

A three-member PCB delegation led by interim management committee chairman Najam Sethi will travel to Dubai for the above meetings along with BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

Jai Shah had said that the Indian team would not travel to Pakistan. Because the Government of India is not allowing it.

ACC member’s executive board meeting:-

After the meeting of the Executive Board of ACC members, the PCB will take a final call on whether to send its team to the ICC World Cup in India or not.

The PCB reiterated its position at the conclusion of the ACC meeting in Bahrain last month, saying that the clash between the arch-rivals brings in a lot of money for both the ICC and the ACC.

As per reports, ICC and ACC may decide to host the Indo-Pak match at a neutral venue in the UAE, though the final decision will be taken only after the meetings later this month.

Getting support from ACC members will be crucial:-

Najam Sethi on Saturday said that getting support from other ACC members would be crucial if Pakistan is to host the continental championship.

Addressing a press conference before leaving to attend the ACC and ICC meeting in Dubai, Sethi said, “It is important to see how other members (of the ACC) see our stand on the Asia Cup.
