Asian Games 2023: Akash Deep has been included in the Indian team in Replace of the injured Shivam Mavi in the Asian Games. Team India (Men and Women) squad has been updated.
The men’s selection committee named Akash Deep in place of Shivam Mavi in the Indian squad for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2023.
Mavi is suffering from a back injury and has been ruled out of the tournament. The men’s cricket competition will be held in T20 format from 28 September to 8 October.

Avesh Khan, 11. Arshdeep Singh, 12. Mukesh Kumar, 13. Shivam Dubey, 15. Prabhsimran Singh (wicketkeeper). 16. Akash Deep.
Standby list of players: 1. Yash Thakur, 2. Sai Kishore, 3. Venkatesh Iyer, 4. Deepak Hooda, 5. Sai Sudarshan.
Meanwhile, the women’s selection committee named Pooja Vastrakar as the replacement for Anjali Sarwani, who was earlier part of the standby list of players, at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.
The Left-arm fast bowler Sarwani suffered a knee injury and is out of the competition.
Which will be holding from 19 September to 8 October 2023 at Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field. The women’s cricket competition will be holding in T20 format from 19 to 28 September 2023.
