According to media reports:-

According to the Australian media report, Symonds’s car had been the victim of an accident about 50 kilometers from Townsville on Saturday night.

Symonds, 46, has always been at the peak during his international playing career. He was considered one of the most accomplished all-rounders in Australian cricket.

A police statement said they were investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident at Hervey Range. This place is about 50 kilometers from Townsville, where the Symonds lived.

The statement read, “Preliminary information indicated, the car was being driven on Hervey Range Road shortly after 11 p.m. The car rolled off the road, ”.

“Emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver. He was going to live alone. However, he died due to injuries.

“Forensic Crash Unit is investigating”:-

According to a News Corp report, Symonds’ family issued a statement confirming his death.

Andrew Symonds Cricket Record: Symonds has played 198 ODIs for Australia. He was a key member of the team that won consecutive World Cups in 2003 and 2007 without dropping a single match.

Has also scored a century against India:-

The explosive right-handed batsman has also played 26 Tests, in which he has also scored centuries against England and India.

After retiring, Symonds was working with Fox Sports as a commentator.

Symonds is the second Australian player of his era to have lost his life in recent times. Earlier his former teammate Shane Warne passed away earlier this year. At the same time, legendary wicketkeeper and coach Rod Marsh also passed away in March.
