Australian women announced the schedule of the Indian women’s tour. The Australian women’s team is scheduled to tour India in December for a five-match T20I series.

All five matches of the T20 series will be held in Mumbai:-

All five matches of the T20 series will be held in Mumbai and the first two matches will be held at D.Y. Patil Stadium and the latter three at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) Stadium.

Australia could be without their regular captain Meg Lanning, who is currently on an indefinite break from cricket to focus on her mental health following the Commonwealth Games triumph.

It was also the last time the two teams meeting, where India lost by just nine runs in a thrilling final.

Series for both sides in preparation for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup:-

The series could be crucial for both sides in preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa which is now less than three months away. Both teams are placing in opposite groups.

India will face England, Ireland, Pakistan, and West Indies in Group B. While Bangladesh, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka are in Group A along with Australia.

India will be hoping to build on the momentum from the Women’s Asia Cup win. And take it to the marquee event in South Africa in February 2023.

On the other hand, Australia is the defending champions. And will be looking to lift the coveted trophy. for the sixth time in the history of the competition.
