Australian Women’s batsman rises to the top of the world No.1 T20I rankings, ending Beth Mooney’s reign as the No.1 ranked T20I batsman in the world.

Teammate and Australia captain Meg Lanning has claimed top billing in the latest MRF Tires ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings.

The ICC on Tuesday released the latest set of Australian Women’s rankings and Lanning was eye-catching as she jumped a spot to propel Mooney to the top of the T20I list on the back of her stunning tri-series against Pakistan and Ireland.
Leading run scorer with 113 runs in two innings:-
Although some bad weather in Ireland affected much of the series, Lanning showed up for his country with 113 runs in two innings to finish his class as the leading run-scorer.
His best effort came at Brady against the Irish when he smashed 74 off just 49 balls to help Australian Women’s post a total of 182/4 in another easy win.
Mooney managed just nine in the same match and proved instrumental in reshuffling the rankings, with Lanning jumping a total of 10 rating points to catapult himself in front of his left-hander.
Ecclestone tops T20I bowling rankings:-
Ecclestone also took five wickets for the series to further extend his lead at the top of the T20I bowling rankings.
While his heroism with the bat in the final match of the series. Saw the 23-year-old jump to 16th in the list of four places. For all-rounder players.

Australia spinner Jess Jonassen has moved up four places to sixth on the bowlers’ list. While teammate Ashleigh Gardner has jumped three places to seventh in the all-rounder rankings.
