A Forced to withdraw from the tournament on 21 June:-

Kieron Pollard, one of the club’s two overseas signings for the Blast, was forced to withdraw from the tournament on 21 June due to a knee injury.

The Australian player will also be available for the club’s LV=Insurance County Championship with Yorkshire in Scarborough, which starts on 11 July.

Hardie has played 28 T20Is in his career so far, scoring 246 runs and taking 15 wickets at a strike rate of 128.79, and won the Big Bash with the Perth Scorchers earlier this year.

The 23-year-old has scored 654 runs including two centuries:-

In first-class cricket, the 23-year-old has scored 654 runs, including two centuries, and has taken 32 wickets at 25.34 in 12 matches.

In April, he posted a career-high score of 174 not out to help Western Australia to Sheffield Shield glory.

He will be available to face Kent in the Blast on July 1.

Commenting on joining Surrey, Hardie said: “I am very excited to be joining Surrey.

I spoke to Laurie Evans and Jason Roy about what it’s like to play here at the Kia Oval. And I’m really excited to see what the crowd brings to Friday.
