Former Australia cricketer Lisa Sthalekar has become the first woman to be appointed as the President of the Federation of International Cricketers’ Associations (FICA).
FICA Executive Committee held in Nyon, Switzerland:-
The 42-year-old was naming at the FICA Executive Committee meeting held in Nyon, Switzerland. Sthalekar will replace former England batsman Vikram Solanki.

Others who have held the position in the past include former South African batsman Barry Richards and former West Indies all-rounder Jimmy Adams. Sthalekar represented Australia in 187 international matches.

She was the recipient of the 2007 and 2008 Belinda Clark Awards, awarding to Australia’s best female international player. He played a key role in Australia’s victory during the 2010 T20 World Cup final.
“I am extremely honoring and excited to be the new President of FICA,” said Sthalekar. “We are entering a new phase of the game that includes more cricket than ever before for our men and women players.
