Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam has been in red-hot form of late.

He recently took his Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings to its maiden title victory in Karachi by defeating Lahore Qalandars in the final of the tournament.

He was awarded the player of the tournament for his heroics with the willow throughout the tournament.

Indian ace spinner Ravi Ashwin seems to be a big fan of Pakistan batting superstar.

The carrom ball specialist termed Babar as a million-dollar player during his conversation with former Pakistan batting legend Inzamam-ul-Haq on YouTube. Ashwin went on to add that Babar’s batting is a treat to watch.

“Babar Azam looks like a million-dollar player. He has scored a hundred in Australia. It is so good to see him bat so well. He is a treat for the eyes. What do you think about Babar Azam?” Ravi Ashwin questioned Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Responding to Ashwin’s question, Inzamam hailed the Pakistan top-order batsman by terming a ‘great player’.

However, Inzi wants Babar to perform even better as he’s just into five years of international cricket. Babar made his international debut in 2015 against Zimbabwe in Lahore.

“He is simply a great player. The kind of talent he has, he needs to perform even better. He has only played international cricket for five years. A batsman reaches his peak after playing international cricket for seven or eight years, so Babar is yet to reach his peak and he will do even better in coming years,” Inzamam told Ashwin in his response.

Babar Azam is often compared with modern-day great Virat Kohli.

Many cricket analysts and pundits even added the Pakistan modern-day star to fab four in their recent conversations during COVID-19 lockdown.

He currently averages above fifty in limited-overs cricket but he’s yet to prove his mettle in the purest format of the game.

Babar was the leading run-scorer in the recently concluded PSL 2020 with 473 runs in just 11 innings at an average of 59.12.

He was awarded the player of the match in Qualifier 1 as well as in the grand finale for his brilliant match-winning knocks. It will be interesting to see how far he goes in the international arena.
