Bangladesh’s Samiur Rahman And Musharraf Hossain Die of Brain Tumors

The Former Bangladesh cricketers, Samiur Rahman and Musharraf Hossain die of brain tumors in Dhaka on (Tuesday) 19 April. Both the bowlers were diagnosed with brain tumors.

Samiur Rahman was Diagnosed:-

Samiur Rahman was diagnosed in January this year and was admitted to a city hospital after his condition deteriorated. He was 68 years old.

He is surviving by his wife and two sons. His brother Yusuf Rahman is also a former national cricketer. Musharraf Hussain died later in the evening.

He was diagnosing in March 2019. Musharraf was currying after treatment, but in November 2020 the tumor started again. He was 40 years old.

The Part of Bangladesh’s First ODI Team:-

Rahman, a fast bowler, was part of Bangladesh’s first ODI team, which played against Pakistan in the 1986 Asia Cup.

In his two-match ODI career, he acted as an umpire. He also played professional basketball.

A minute’s silence was observing before the 40th National Cricket Championship match at Cox’s Bazar in memory of former Bangladesh national team pacer, BCB umpire, and match referee who passed away in Dhaka. This morning,” tweeted Bangladesh Cricket Board on Tuesday.

Hossain, also known as Rubel, was one of seven cricketers to score 3000 runs and take 300 wickets in first-class cricket in Bangladesh.

The Death of Musharraf Hussain Rubel:-

“Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) condoles the passing away of former Bangladesh national team player Musharraf Hossain Rubel.

The left-arm spinner took over 550 wickets across all formats in a career spanning two decades. BCB extends its deepest sympathies and condolences,” BCB mourns the passing of the former player.

The left-arm spinner, who played five ODIs, made an appearance during the home series against South Africa in 2008 and received a second call-up in 2016. He is surviving with his wife and one child.
