The Barbados Royals sign South African Quinton de Kock and David Miller ahead of CPL 2022.
A Contracted as their foreign Players:-
Barbados Royals have signed South African duo Quinton de Kock and David Miller as their overseas players for the upcoming season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), starting August 31.

This is the first time de Kock will be joining the CPL, while Miller has already represented Jamaica Tallawahs and St Lucia Zouks.
Miller, who recently won the IPL title with Gujarat Titans, has scored more than 8,000 runs in T20Is at a strike rate of 138.
Another South African, Corbin Bosch, who was with Rajasthan Royals in the recent IPL, will be occupying one of the overseas spots in the team.
Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan:-
Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb ur Rahman, who was picked up by Jamaica in 2020, will play for the Royals this season alongside Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan, who has returned to the team for the second year in a row after making his 2021 debut.
Barbados has five more places to fill and will do so during the draft on Thursday (July 7).
Royals head coach Trevor Penney said: “We are delighted to have signed some of the best overseas players in the T20 format, who we believe will complement our retentions perfectly.”
The Royals were selected as the team to start the CPL journey:-
“Quinton is a proven match-winner who has delivered for all the franchises he has played in his country and around the world, and we are delighted that he has selected the Royals as the team to begin his CPL journey.
“On the other hand, having worked closely with David Miller and Corbin Bosch at Rajasthan Royals, we know what they bring to the table and at the same time, they fully understand the Royals’ philosophy as well.”
Azam, son of former Pakistan wicketkeeper Moin Khan, scored 178 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 124.45, which included a half-century. He has represented Pakistan in three T20 Internationals so far.

Talking about Azam, Penny said, “We are also delighted with the energy. And the enthusiasm that Azam Khan can bring to the group, having seen him perform for us last season.
“While Mujeeb ur Rahman is a world-class spinner who has made a name for himself in T20s globally. And is a quality and potentially effective addition to our spin department.

While the CPL is set to begin on 31 August. The Royals will take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Basseterre the next day.
