Domestic Career of Parthiv

He started his domestic career in 2004 by playing Ranji for his state Gujarat. Where he led Gujarat in Ranji for the year 2016-2017 and made his team the champion of Ranji in that season.

Internationl Career of Parthiv Patel

He made his Test debut in the year 2002 against England at Trent Bridge. He debuted in Test cricket at the youngest age. When he made his debut, his age was 17 years 153 days. Parthiv had broken the record held by Pakistan’s Hanif Mohammad (17 years and 300 days). He made his One Day Debut in the year 2003 when he got a chance to play against New Zealand. He was also included in the team of the World Cup held in 2003 but he could not play in this World Cup.

Retirement from International Career

Patel decided to retire from all formats of international cricket in the year 2020. After retirement from his career, he started working as a talent scout for Mumbai Indians.

His IPL Career

In the first edition of IPL, Parthiv was bought by Chennai Super Kings in the auction where he used to open with Matthew Hayden. He was signed by Kochi Tuskers Kerala for the fourth season of IPL. On 16 May, it was announced that Parthiv would lead Kochi Tuskers Kerala for the rest of the 2011 Indian Premier League. As a result of the dissolution of the Kochi Tuskers franchise, Parthiv was once again auctioned for the 2012 Indian Premier League season along with other players from the franchise.
