BCCI Official Said: Rohit And Kohli will Not Get Place in T20 Series Against NZ

IND vs NZ T20 Series: BCCI officials said: Rohit and Kohli will not get a place in the T20 series against NZ. The Indian cricket team has to play a three-match T20 series against New Zealand from January 27.

A BCCI official told Sport:-

Prior to this, a BCCI official has told Sport that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not be selected for the team for the T20 series against New Zealand (India Squad NZ T20 Series).

Apart from these, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, R Ashwin and Mohammed Shami will also find a difficult place in the Indian T20 team (India Squad NZ).

A top BCCI official confirmed, “Unfortunately, he will not be selected or considered for the New Zealand series.

Need to build a Good Team:-

This is not being done to throw him out of the team or anything. We think we need to build a good team for the future. Rest will be seen in the end what the selectors decide.”

Significantly, right after the ongoing series against Sri Lanka. Team India has to play 3-match T20 and ODI series against New Zealand.

Which Rohit Sharma and Kohli will be part of the ODI series. But these two players will not play in the T20 series starting on 27 January.

• 1st T20 – January 27, Friday, JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi
• Second T20 – January 29, Sunday, Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow
• 3rd T20 – February 01, Wednesday, Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
