Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to bring Indian men and women teams from charter plane to Mumbai before leaving for England on 2nd June

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will bring Indian men’s and women’s teams from Charter Plane to Mumbai where the players will reside in Quarantine before leaving for England on June 2.

Mithali Raj, captain of the Indian women’s Test and ODI team, and Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of the women’s T20 team confirmed this news via Twitter.

Harmanpreet tweeted, “The BCCI has arranged a charter plane to send men and women teams to Mumbai before leaving for England.”

Mithali said that apart from the charter plane, regular RT-PCR tests were done at home for the players. Mithali said, “Traveling during this epidemic is challenging but the BCCI has made all preparations for our safety. Charter planes and in-house RT-PCR tests have been arranged for Mumbai and England.”

The Indian women’s team has to play the only Test match against England from June 16, after which a series of three ODIs and three T20 matches will also be played between the two teams.
