After this, team coach Brian Lara was very angry with the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen and advised them to improve.

Batsmen disappointed

In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers performed brilliantly and allowed the team to score only 144 runs. But the batsmen who came to chase this small target were disappointed.

They played a slow innings from the start and showed no intent to win. After this the pressure increased in the last over and the team had to face defeat.

After the match, the team’s coach Brian Lara said that it was not right to chase such a small target and he blamed the batsmen for this defeat.

Lara said that he had taken it too late to show his aggressive attitude. He said – ‘There was no disturbance in the pitch and we should have shown more activity throughout the innings.’

He said, ‘We left everything for the last. I would have liked it if our batsmen could take full advantage of the power play.

We gave them a chance to take wickets and dominate in the middle overs. Lara further said that ‘the first 15 overs are very important and by then we should have been in a much better position.’
