After the match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma gave a statement regarding the absence of fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

Sharma responded to the absence of bowler Jaspreet in the team:-

At the same time, after this match, captain Rohit Sharma replied about the absence of fast bowler Jaspreet in the team. Which will not go down well with Bumrah’s fans.

At the same time, Jasprit Bumrah is running out of the team due to injury for the last several months. Also, recently he has undergone his back surgery in Germany, after which he may take 6-7 months to recover completely.

Due to this, he has also been ruled out of IPL, WTC Final 2023, and ODI World Cup. On the other hand, when the captain was asked a question about Bumrah, he said that Jasprit Bumrah is not present on the team for more than eight months now.

Rohit further said, we have to move forward and the guys have taken the responsibility very well. Apart from Mohammad Siraj, Mohammad Shami, and Shardul Thakur, we have also got Umran Malik and Jaydev Unadkat on the team.
