The CPL league franchise St Kitts and Nevis Patriots has included him as a marquee player.

Rayudu was part of the CSK 2023 champion team. He announced his retirement after this.

Rayudu had announced his retirement after the IPL, after which it was believing that he would step into politics.

However, after that, Texas Super Kings, the franchise of the Cricket League in America, announced his inclusion in their team.

Ambati Rayudu withdrew his name 5 days ago:-

This franchise belongs to Chennai Super Kings only. But 5 days before the start of the league, Ambati Rayudu withdrew his name.

The Indian player has to spend the cooling-off period till 1 year after retirement. Only then can he play in other cricket leagues?

If cleared, Ambati Rayudu will become only the second Indian to feature in the Men’s Caribbean Premier League.

Earlier leg-spinner Pravin Tambe played CPL. He played for Trinbago Knight Riders in 2020.

Apart from this, 2 Indians have played in the form of Sunny Sohal and Smit Patel, but they qualified as US players.

Shreyanka will become the first Indian woman cricketer to play in this league:-

This season Shreyanka Patil will play in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League, she will become the first Indian woman cricketer to play in this league. She was inducting by the Guyana Amazon Warriors into their squad.

Expressing happiness after joining the team, Ambati Rayudu said, “I am looking forward to joining the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and contributing to the team.”

Rayudu will be joining by former Tamil Nadu all-rounder Malolan Rangarajan, who has replaced Simon Helmot as the head coach of the Patriots.
