Cricketer Harbhajan Singh came forward to help the flood victims after gritty. Cricketer-turned-politician Harbhajan visited the flood-affected areas of Jalandhar district on Wednesday.
Singh directed the relief and rescue team to Gatta Mundi Kasu village:-
Harbhajan Singh was accused by his opposition parties of not helping the flood victims. Harbhajan Singh helped the relief and rescue team in unloading sandbags at the dam of Gatta Mundi Kasu village.

Harbhajan Singh, who was an important part of the Indian cricket team, is a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party.
He was already abroad before the flood:-
On the comments made by the opposition parties on his foreign visits even during the floods, Bhajji replied that he was already abroad before the floods. He said that if he was here, he would have reached out first for help.
Along with the volunteers, Bhajji got the sandbags unloaded from a truck. He said, “I am amazed at the level of politics even in times of disaster.
Need to help rebuild the lives of villagers:-
This is the time when all of us need to join hands and help in rebuilding the lives of the poor helpless villagers.
Apart from this, Harbhajan Singh has also asked the central government to raise the demand for a special package for the flood-affected areas during the monsoon session.

He said that he would raise the demand to compensate Punjab for the damage caused by the floods.
