CWG 2022: Indian women’s cricket captain Harmanpreet Kaur wants the players of the team to develop the kind of aggression that has been in the champion teams of the past.
The Indian team is still far from the potential to become world champions but all the players who have come here for the Commonwealth Games have followed the suggestion of all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar during their tour of Sri Lanka last month.
CWG 2022: Harmanpreet Kaur, “More need for aggressive attitude” :-
Harmanpreet Kaur, who made her all-format captaincy debut on the Sri Lanka tour, feels the need for an aggressive approach is more when morale is low.
The Indian captain said, “During the meeting with the players on the Sri Lanka tour, I asked how they wanted to play. Pooja then gave a good answer regarding firepower.
India’s first match against Australia :-
Harmanpreet Kaur said on the eve of the team’s opening match against Australia in the Commonwealth Games, “We are working on that during practice and games. Every player is pushing for it on his own behalf.
Due to Covid, Pooja is not associated with the team yet:-
Pooja is not yet associated with the team due to the corona virus, but the captain praised her and said, “She is doing well for the last one year. Normally senior players share a lot of views but there Pooja talked about it which I really liked.
CWG 2022: India had an optional training session on Thursday :-
India had an optional training session on Thursday in which six players went to Edgbaston. Harmanpreet went to the hotel on Wednesday after trying her hand at golf clubs during practice. The team scheduled to play the match on Friday morning, so the chances of his presence in the opening ceremony are slim.
Harmanpreet said, “Our team is strong. We have to work on creating the right combination apart from batting and bowling order.
