Deandra Dottin signs contract with Adelaide Strikers

Deandra Dottin, who recently announced her retirement from international cricket, has signed up with the Adelaide Strikers for the upcoming Women’s Big Bash League.

The former West Indies all-rounder called off his international career noting that there were problems with regard to ‘team culture and environment’.

However, she said that she will be available to play domestic cricket around the world. Dottin represented the Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat in the competition, taking 17 wickets in 29 matches as well as scoring 424 runs.

“I like to keep things very simple. Hopefully I can add a little bit of experience to the group through my bowling and lower order and also help some of the younger players to rely on their skills in the middle. “
