Deepak Chahar: Fast bowler Deepak Chahar, who is suffering from a back injury problem, has started training. 29-year-old Deepak, who has been away from cricket for the last three months, returned to the field and practiced in the nets. Chahar is seen batting during the practice session, not bowling. Chahar played his last international match against West Indies on 20 February (T20).
He suffered a hamstring injury in this match. Chahar also ruled out of the recently concluded IPL 2022 due to a back injury.
In IPL 2022, CSK bought Chahar for Rs 14 crore :-
Bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar was bought by Chennai Super Kings in the auction for Rs 14 crore. Not only this, Chahar will now also not be able to play in the five-match home T20 series against South Africa.
Chahar will be hoping to regain his fitness at the earliest and will aim to make a place for the Indian team for the T20 World in October-November.
Training at National Cricket Academy to recover from injury:-
Deepak Chahar trained at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru to recover from the injury. Meanwhile, he also got married on June 1 with girlfriend Jaya Bhardwaj in Agra. Only seven days after his marriage, Chahar returned to the nets and seen working hard.
International career of Deepak Chahar :-
Chahar has played 20 T20s and seven ODIs in his career so far. He has 36 wickets to his name in international cricket. Apart from this, he has also emerged as a useful lower order batsman. He also has two half-centuries to his name in ODI cricket.
