Delhi Capitals captain David Warner has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during their Tata Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) match.

But even after that, Delhi captain David Warner could not bowl 20 overs at the right time, due to which a fine of Rs 12 lakh has been imposed under the rules of IPL.

It was his team’s first offense of the season relating to minimum over-rate offenses under the IPL’s Code of Conduct.

There is also a code of conduct in the rules of the Indian Premier, in which any captain has to complete 20 overs of an inning in 90 minutes or less.

If a captain fails to do so, he is fined for slow over-rate.

At the same time, Delhi Capitals captain Warner could not do the same, due to which a fine of Rs 12 lakh has been imposed on him.

Apart from this, RCB captain Faf Duplessis and GT captain Hardik Pandya have also been fined under the code of conduct.

Talking about the match, DC won the toss and decided to bat first. During this, Manish Pandey scored 34 runs and Akshar also scored 34 runs for the team.

The team had scored 144 runs losing a total of 9 wickets in 20 overs:-

Apart from this, no B batsman could touch the figure of 30 runs and the team scored 144 runs losing a total of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

At the same time, SRH, chasing this low score, could only manage 137 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets. Mayank Agarwal scored 49 runs and Klaasen scored 31 runs for the team.

Other batsmen could not cross the 30 mark for the team. Whereas DC defeated SRH by 7 runs.

But Warner was not able to finish 20 overs at the right time in his bowling innings, due to which he has been fined Rs 12 lakh.
