Gill has become the 8th batsman in the world to score a double century in the ODI format. Recently, Ishaan became the youngest player to do so by scoring a double-century against Bangladesh, Gill very quickly broke his record (Shubman Gill 208 vs New Zealand).

Indiaβs opener Shubman Gill smashed 208 off 149 balls in the first ODI against New Zealand in Hyderabad.
Before Gill, double centuries have been scored in ODIs 9 times, but at the time of that double century, everyone remained older than Gill in age. Ishan Kishan was 24 at the time of the double century, Gill hit the double century at the age of 23.

Shubman Gill has left Sachin behind with an inning of 208 runs. Sachin Tendulkar is the first cricketer to score a double century in ODI cricket.
