The 32-year-old Perry was first signed by the Sixers in 2015 and since then has been one of the key figures in the competition with bat and ball.
In the last 12 months, the right-handed batsman has revamped her batting game to suit the changing nature of T20 cricket and the results with Australia have been quite astonishing.
In 11 T20I innings since returning to the middle order, he has scored 374 runs. With a strike rate of 157.14 and an average of 53.42, with four half-centuries.
The change in output came after she was dropped from the national T20 squad and Perry told cricket.com.au in June that it was more mental and technical than physical.
“I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of trying to get better, and for a large part of my career, and especially when I was younger, a lot of it was just physical improvement and technical improvement.” she said.
“I think you probably reach some limit with those things, and while you can still try to improve, the gains become much more modest.
Meanwhile, the Hobart Hurricanes today announced the re-signing of Australian all-rounder Nicola Carey on a one-year deal.
Carey, a 50-time Australia representative, achieved both the milestones of 100 wickets and 100 matches in the WBBL last season.
Elsewhere, the Melbourne Stars re-signed off-spinner Sophie Day and left-handed ‘keeper-batsman Sophie Reid this week.
