Before playing for KKR, Shardul Thakur played for Chennai Super Kings from 2018 to 2021. In the 2023 season, Shardul Thakur scored 113 runs in 11 innings and could take only seven wickets. KKR bought Shardul Thakur for Rs 10.75 crore.
