England’s top spinner Jack Leach will undergo surgery. The left-hander had to return home due to a left knee injury on the very first day of the series and was later ruled out.

Jack Leach is returning to the series following a back injury during Ashes 2023, he confirmed on BBC Radio 5 Live.

He said, “I am going to have an operation to take out the remaining swelling because it is not going down. It was quite unfortunate.

I was Playing With The Same Knee Problem in The Match:-

It was the second ball of the first innings on the ground, so I was playing with this knee problem throughout the match.”

“I beat it a few times throughout that game, and it created a long period of recovery,” he said. And I will have to undergo an operation and then hopefully I will be able to start playing cricket.

I would love to play cricket and get back into shape and hopefully, once I get over this problem, that can happen again.”
