English Cricket Team Essex Fined For Allegations Of Racism

English cricket team Essex was fined for allegations of racism. And England County Cricket Club Essex will be fining heavily for racism.

The cricket club was founding guilty in two parts:-

An independent Cricket Disciplinary Commission found the cricket club guilty in two parts. Relating to their remarks made at a meeting and subsequent failure by Essex to conduct a proper investigation.

This comes after the historic trials of former Yorkshire captain Azim Rafiq who exposed the English county cricket system. And its institutional criticism.

They are forcing to look back:-

At the disciplinary hearing, Rafiq recounted incidents of bullying by team management and fellow players.

This essentially forces England cricket to look back on the way the game has been run for decades.

Essex President John Faragher resigned from his role in November 2021 after Rafiq was accusing of using racist language. A day after he was accusing of using racist language. However, Faragher vehemently denied the incident.

Essex was also cautioning about further conduct:-

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said Essex was also warning and reprimanded for further conduct.

It said the fine of £15,000 will be suspending for two years.

“The allegation was in two parts – relating to remarks made at the meeting. And failure to conduct an appropriate. Or any subsequent investigation, by the Essex CCC,” an ECB statement said.
