S Sreesanth Retirement: Fast bowler S Sreesanth has retired from domestic cricket. He gave this information through social media on Wednesday. Recently, he got a place in the Kerala team for the first-class tournament Ranji Trophy.

He also took a wicket after 9 years. He played his last rivalry for India 11 years ago. His career was ruined in 2013 after he was caught in match-fixing. He decided to return to domestic cricket last year, but he was not selected for the IPL either.

Very sad but without any regret, I am saying that I am retiring from Indian domestic cricket (1st class and all documents).

“I have decided to end my first-class career for the next generation of cricketers.

This is my single learning and although I know it will not make me happy but it is the right and respected learning at this point of time in my life. I enjoyed every moment.

Sreesanth’s Cricket Career:-

  • Sreesanth made his ODI debut on 25 October 2005 against Sri Lanka in Nagpur.
  • On 1 March 2006, the first Test was played against England in Nagpur itself.
  • On 1 December 2006, he played his first T20I against South Africa in Johannesburg.
  • Sreesanth has played 27 Tests in his career in which he has taken 87 wickets.
  • In Tests, he has done the feat of taking five wickets in an innings thrice.
  • Sreesanth has played 53 ODIs in his career. In this, he has taken 75 wickets in his name.
  • He has taken 5 wickets in his name once in ODIs.
  • Sreesanth has taken 7 wickets in 10 T20 matches.
  • He has 40 wickets in 44 IPL matches.

  • Sreesanth was a member of the 2011 World Cup-winning team.
  • He also played the final against Sri Lanka.
  • That was his last ODI match.
