Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman is celebrating his 47th birthday today, his full name is Vangipurpu Venkata Sai Laxman. VVS was born on 1 November 1974 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana), India. is a former Indian international cricketer and a former cricket commentator and pundit.

Laxman is known to play his brilliant strokes:-

A right-handed batsman, known for his brilliant stroke play, Laxman played in Test cricket as a middle-order batsman.

Laxman is currently the Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), and the head coach of the India Under-19 and India A teams.

Laxman is one of the few players to have played 100 Test matches without ever appearing in the One-Day Cricket World Cup.

In 2011, Laxman was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award. Laxman retired from international cricket in 2012.

VVS’s Personal Life:-

Laxman was born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (present-day Telangana). Laxman’s parents are Dr. Shantaram and Dr. Satyabhama, a well-known physician from Vijayawada. Laxman is the great-grandson of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India.

VVS studied at Little Flower High School, Hyderabad. He enrolled in a medical school for his graduation, and Laxman chose cricket as a career.
