Former New Zealand All-Rounder Andre Joins White Ferns For South Africa Tour. The New Zealand women’s team has pulled off a coup by signing former Kiwi Andre Adams as bowling coach for their upcoming tour of South Africa.

White Ferns Eight-Match White-Ball Tour Of South Africa:-

Adams will be reacquainted with New Zealand head coach Ben Sawyer later this month when the White Ferns embark on an eight-match white-ball tour of South Africa (three ODIs and five T20Is).

Having represented New Zealand on 47 occasions and taking 10 wickets at the 2003 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, Adams would once again team up with Sawyer, as the pair had previously worked with each other in T20 franchise coaching roles.

Adams, who has also previously held coaching roles with Australian domestic cricket and the major Australian men’s team.

New Zealand is keen to help the youth bowling group during the upcoming tour of South Africa.

The Really Grateful For The Opportunity To Work Again:-

“I had an amazing experience with the team in 2017 and I’m really grateful for the opportunity to work with this group again,” Adams said.

“There are some familiar faces who it is good to reconnect with, as well as some young players who I have previously worked with during New Zealand Cricket Talent Pathway programs.

“I am looking forward to returning to South Africa and hope to bring a lot to the group, and provide good support, especially to the faster players.”

Sawyer is looking forward to working with Adams once again and believes the veteran coach can provide some valuable insight to his group.

“Andre’s depth of experience as a former Blackcap and high-level coach in New Zealand and Australia makes him a really obvious choice for this tour,” Sawyer said.

“He has great energy and more importantly he has a great skill set, particularly focused on fast bowling.”

New Zealand’s tour of South Africa begins with the first ODI in Potchefstroom on September 24. While the T20I part of the tour begins on October 6.
