The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recently announced the Pakistan team for the T20 series against Afghanistan starting on 24 March. Players like Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been given rest. In place of regular captain Babar Azam, Shadab Khan will now be seen leading the team against Afghanistan.

Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has given a controversial statement regarding the Pakistan Cricket Board. In fact, he has created a big controversy by calling Rest in Peace Pakistan team. His statement has also been shared by the Pakistani Cricket Board on its social media. He has clearly targeted the Pakistan Cricket Board and the selectors.

Latif said this in his statement

The former Pakistani captain said that “our players are joining the ICC rankings after a long time and winning awards as well. Babar and Shaheen won ICC awards. They (PCB) could not digest it. They said we are not like that.” Let it happen and now we are here and we will take the decision. Those who have never rested themselves and who are in their 70s or 80s and need rest. They are now deciding the fate of Pakistan cricket. You can say May the Pakistan team rest in peace. Our team is now resting in peace.” Rashid Latif is facing a lot of criticism after this statement.
