According to reports, Mohammad Amir could be seen playing for Derbyshire in the upcoming season as a local player.

After getting the British passport, his way to play in the IPL will be easier. After retiring from international cricket in 2020, he has played in various leagues.

He’s About to Get His British Passport:-

Mohammad Amir has previously played county cricket for Essex and Gloucestershire. But for the coming season, the 31-year-old fast bowler will play for Derbyshire as a local citizen as he is about to get his British passport.

Mohammad Amir’s wife is a British citizen, so after getting a passport, he can be seen playing in the IPL.

Mohammad Amir told ARY News, “I have one year. I don’t know what will be the scenario. I always go step by step.

I’ll definitely take the best chance I Get:-

I don’t know where I will be after a year. No one knows the future. When I get my passport, I will definitely grab the best opportunity I get.”

Mohammad Amir also clarified on any plans of him returning to international cricket and representing England that he has no such intention.

He said, “I will not play for England. I have already played international cricket for Pakistan, whatever I had to play.”
